Obituary: David Turner Hilton, 88, Bardstown
David Turner Hilton, 88, of Bardstown, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He was born May 20, 1928, in Woodford County to the late John T. and Sarelda Lancaster Hilton. He was a farmer and a former manager of the Nelson County Co-Op Tobacco Warehouse. He was a member of the Bloomfield Baptist Church where he formerly served as a deacon.
In addition to this parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Langford; one brother, Howard Hilton; and one grandson, Ryan Lewis.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Betty Mattingly Hilton; two daughters, Gena Lynn (Greg) Lewis of Louisville and Andrea Kay (Jim) Hammond of Lewisville, Texas; two stepsons, Mark (Carol) Walker and Terry Walker, both of Bardstown; one sister; Della Moore of Bowling Green; and 6 grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield. with Bro. Leland Parks and Bro. Richard Carwile officiating. Burials is in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, at the funeral home.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contribution to the Bloomfield Baptist Church Building Fund.
The Houghlin Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
