Obituary: Michael Bradley Porter, 60, New Hope

Michael Bradley Porter, 60, of New Hope, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2016. He was a native of Nelson County and was a lighting products salesman for Service Lamp Corp. of New Jersey.

He was a born-again Christian who played in the praise band at the Franklin Crossroads Baptist Church in Cecilia. He loved his Lord and his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley and Dorothy Porter; and one son, Stuart Porter.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Porter; one daughter, Anna Porter; and one son, Marshall Porter.

Cremation was chosen and there was no visitation or service. A private scattering of his ashes will take place at a later date.

The family gives its heartfelt thanks to Hospice of Nelson County for their love, concern and care.
