Obituary: Linda Sue Tharp, 67, Loretto

Linda Sue Tharp, 67, of Loretto, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. She was born Aug. 8, 1949, in Louisville. She was a retired employee of General Electric Appliance Park in Louisville.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, James Clayton Tharp; her parents, Joseph William and Mattie Woods Wheeler; and one sister, Carol Ann Wheeler.

Survivors include one daughter, Julie Tharp (Will Johnston) of Mount Sherman; and one granddaughter, Jaymee Johnston.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 26, 2016, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with Deacon Joseph R. Dant officiating. Burial is in the St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery.

Visitation is 9-11 a.m. Monday, at Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto.

The Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
