Local ham radio club schedules January meetings

Thursday, Jan. 5, 2016, 9 p.m. — The Bardstown area Kentucky Amateur Radio Society (KARS) will hold its January meetings at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2017 and Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017 in the training room at Nelson County EMS Station 1, 1301 Atkinson Hilll Road.

The meeting topics will include discussions of planned KARS club events for 2017.

All Amateur Radio operators and anyone interested in learning about Amateur Radio is invited to attend.

KARS conducts a general interest net on the Bardstown 2-meter repeater, (145.47 MHz, CTSS tone 151.4 Hz) at 9 p.m. every Sunday. The KARS Weather Training Net meets at 8:30 p.m. every Wednesday on the same frequency. Licensed Amateurs are encouraged to participate.
