Obituary: DeLois Brack, 79, Bardstown

DeLois Brack, 79, of Bardstown, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, at Bardstown Healthcare and Rehab. She was born Jan. 10, 1937, in Tupelo, Miss. to the late DeShazer and Clara Dent Jenkins. She was a retired teacher and guidance counselor for the Shelby County, Tenn. school system. She was a funeral_candlemember of the Centenary United Methodist Church in Memphis, Tenn., and a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

She is survived by her daughter, Arneida (Michael) Harris of Bardstown; two sisters, Marie (Roland) Neal of Memphis and Ora Ellis of Dallas, Texas; two grandchildren, Jamie (Tony) Evans and Rachael Harris; and two great-great-grandchildren, Hyla Sophia Evans and Aster Caroline Evans.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
