City firefighters respond for odor investigation at local restaurant

Monday, Jan. 2, 2017, 5 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded Monday morning at about 8 a.m. to Cracker Barrel on Filiatreau Lane for the smell of something burning in the building. An employee reported hearing a pop and then detecting the smell of something electrical burning. Firefighters searched for the source and located a tripped breaker. They advised the manager to contact an electrician to make repairs. They were on the scene for about 20 minutes.
