Nelson County firefighters called Monday to home for furnace problem

Monday, Jan. 2, 2017, 5 p.m. — The Nelson County Fire Department responded Monday morning at about 8 a.m. to a residence on Old Bloomfield Road for a reported fire in a furnace. The fire was out by the time firefighters arrived, and crews used their equipment to remove smoke from the home. Firefighters were on the scene for about 45 minutes.
