Obituary: Parker Beam, 75, Bardstown
Parker Beam, 75, of Bardstown, died Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, at Springview Hospital in Lebanon. He was born Sept. 17, 1941, in Bardstown. He was Master Distiller Emeritus for Heaven Hill Distilleries. He was owner of L & B Leasing Inc. He was a self-employed farmer. He was a Kentucky Colonel, an avid U of K football fan, and a member of of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Velma Beam.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Meyer Beam of Bardstown; one son, Craig (Nichole) Beam, of Bardstown; two daughters, Lesley (Phillip) Ferrell of Murfreesboro, Tenn. and Julie (Joe) Smith of Bloomfield; and 10 grandchildren, Candace Beam, Olivia Beam, Lyndsey Ferrell, Kendall Ferrell, Makenzie Ferrell, Andrew Smith, Alexandra Smith, Samantha Willett, Olivia Willett and Danielle Willett.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, at the Bardstown Baptist Church with Bro. Ray Johnson and Dr. Randal Pollock officiating with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, and 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Thursday at Barlow Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may go to the Kentucky Chapter of the ALS Association or the Humane Society of Nelson County.
