Obituary: William L. Fell, Sr., 65, Coxs’s Creek
William L. Fell, Sr., 65, of Cox’s Creek, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was born Aug. 24, 1951, in Louisville to Louis Frederick and Mildred Louise Clark Fell. He was a retired director of cardio-pulmonary services at University of Louisville Hospital. He was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church where he served as a cantor. He was a cantor instructor for the Archdiocese of Louisville.
He was preceded in death by his father; Louis Frederick Fell.
He is survived by his wife, Gillian Fullwood Fell; one daughter; Heather (Troy) Cecil of Shelbyville; one son, William (Kimberly) Fell Jr. of Cox’s Creek; his mother, Mildred Fell of Owensboro; four sisters, Kathy (Dale) Godby of McCormack, S.C., Carol (Guy) Fulkerson of Cox’s Creek, Camilla (Michael) Sympson of Bowling Green and Kimberly (Carl) Lewis of Owensboro; and five grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, at St. Gregory Catholic Church with the Rev. John Schwartzlose and the Rev. Peter Do celebrating. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017, with a 5 p.m. prayer service at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
