Obituary: Keith Wimpsett, 62, Bardstown

KEITH WIMPSETT

Keith Wimpsett, 62, of Bardstown Heathcare & Rehab Center, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He was born Nov. 6, 1954, in Bardstown. He was a retired farmer and former construction worker, a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Everett and Virginia Ann Ballard Wimpsett; one brother, David Wimpsett; and one son, Jason Wimpsett.

Survivors include his wife, Katie Elder Wimpsett of St. Francis; one daughter, Stacy Lohman (Mike) of Louisville; two sisters, Michelle Osborne (Dennis) and Sheila Downs (Wayne), both of Bardstown; six brothers, Larry Wimpsett (Judy) and Jeff Wimpsett (Tammy), both of Bardstown, Tony Wimpsett (Kelly) and Pat Wimpsett, both of Louisville, Danny Wimpsett (Tammy) of Bloomfield and Mark Wimpsett (Jackie) of New Haven; four granddaughters, Anna Lohman and Sophia Lohman, both of Louisville, and Kayla Wimpsett and Brittany Wimpsett, both of Springfield.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6785 Highway 52, Loretto with the Rev. Bryan Lamberson officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto.

The Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
