Obituary: Joseph E. ‘Joe Boy’ Mills, 76, Fern Creek
Joseph E. “Joe Boy” Mills, 76, of Fern Creek, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017. He was born Jan. 14, 1941, in Marion County. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Fern Creek. He was a retired employee of General Electric.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Francis “Blue Boy” Mills.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Kramer Mills of Fern Creek; two daughters, Tracy Davidson (Greg) and Jennifer Jantzen (Sean); 10 sisters, RoseLee Shewmaker (Darrell), Barbara Jean Luckett (Bernard), Ruth Ann Blair (Kenny), Catherine Sapp, Bridget Mae Newcomb (Johnny), Ethelene Young (Pat), Martina Spalding (Norman), Angela Mattingly (Richard), Elaine Mills, and Teresine Thomas (Carl); two brothers, Tom Mills (Dot) and Jay Mills (Kathleen); one sister-in-law, Katie Lou Mills; and four grandchildren, Riley Davidson, Avery Davidson, Miranda Jantzen and Natalie Jantzen.
The Funeral Mass is 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
Visitation is 2-5:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017 at the Bosley Funeral Home.
