Obituary: Loretta Katherine Terrell, 93, formerly of Wakefield

LORETTA KATHERINE TERRELL

Loretta Katherine Terrell, 93, of Louisville, formerly of Wakefield, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, at her home. She was born Nov. 10, 1923, in Paris, Ark. to the late John and Elizabeth Epps Schmalz. She was a retired employee of Fischer Packing Co. and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church where she served on the bereavement committee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Terrell.

She is survived by one son, Robert Joseph “Bobby” (Cindy) Terrell of Louisville; two sisters, Leona Maxon of Taolay, Kan. and Betty Gravenstien; three brothers, Robert Schmalz, Larry Schmalz, and James Schmalz, all of Kansas City, Kan.; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, at St. Michael Catholic Church with the Rev. Wilfredo Hernandez as celebrant. Burial is in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, Feb.3, 2017, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
