Police chase through Bardstown ends in crash near Heaven Hill Distillery

Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, 7 p.m. — Bardstown Police were led on a pursuit Saturday afternoon through parts of Bardstown that ended in a crash at the intersection of Gilkey Run Road and Loretto Road near Heaven Hill Distillery.

At about 2:44 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, a Bardstown Police officer reported that a woman driving a white 2006 Chevrolet Malibu was running from him on Bloomfield Pike. The pursuit continued onto East Stephen Foster, then onto Bloomfield Road before turning back onto the northern end of Bloomfield Pike. The vehicle turned on Kinsman Drive, ran off the road, and then back on Bloomfield Road south toward downtown. The pursuit continued to Stephen Foster through Court Square and continued west, turning south on Fourth Street to Gilkey Run Road. Officers reported the car crashed at Loretto Road. The driver of the vehicle suffered facial lacerations and was treated by Nelson County EMS at the scene and then transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital.
