Obituary: Curtis Ray Hatfield, 78, Boston

Curtis Ray Hatfield, 78, of Boston, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. He was a member of the Christian faith. He was born Nov. 5, 1938, in Boston to the late William Dewey Sr. and Bertha Mae Hall Hatfield. He was retired from the Curtis Hatfield Construction funeral_lilyCo. He was a loving husband, father, papaw, brother and friend.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Georgia Faye Rummage Hatfield of Boston; four daughters, Lisa Hatfield, Ann (Stan) Dempley and Jan (Andy) Brothers, all of Bardstown, and Julie Hatfield of Boston; two sons, Donnie (Linda) Hatfield of Boston and Tim (Mary Lou) Hatfield of Bardstown; 15 brothers and sisters; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Cremation was chosen with no visitation.

A public Celebration of Life ceremony is 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, at First Cedar Creek Baptist Church on Bellwood Road.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Heart Association, American Lung Association or the Nelson County Humane Society.

The William R. Rust Funeral Home Boston Chapel, 12783 Boston Road, Boston is in charge of arrangements.
