Rape suspect arrested Thursday also wanted in Louisville, five other states

Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, 4 p.m. — A man wanted for sexual assaults in five other states was arrested on rape charges in Thursday, Jan. 9, 2017, at an apartment in Bardstown.

According to a Bardstown Police Department press release, Nathan Larry Loebe, 36, who has addresses from Louisville to Tuscon, Ariz., was arrested following an investigation of a sexual assault that took place early Sunday morning, Feb. 05, 2017. Loebe was charged with first-degree rape and is being held in the Nelson County Jail on a bond of $2.2 million.

The victim was a 40-year-old woman who recently had become acquainted with Loebe.

On Friday, Bardstown Police learned Loebe was wanted by Louisville Metro Police Department detectives concerning incidents, and also by the Tuscon, Ariz. police investigating 40 cases of stalking, harassment and threats made to women, and nine sexual assaults.

Loebe is also wanted in Colorado, Massachusetts and Ohio for sexual assaults.

The investigation revealed that Loebe used personal dating sites to locate some of his victims. he is also know to impersonate “Family Ties” star Brian Bonsall, who played Andrew Keaton on the 1980s television series. Loebe has tattoos that match those displayed by Bonsall. Bonsall, currently touring with a band in Europe, has posted warnings that Loebe is impersonating him in order to meet women.

Bardstown Police Detective Lynn Davis is leading the investigation.
