Obituary: Travis Wade Linton, 41, New Haven
Travis Wade Linton, 41, of New Haven, died peacefully Monday, Feb. 13, 2017, at his residence. He was a member of the Catholic faith. He was born Nov. 16, 1975. He was employed by Tony Cecil Construction and was an avid fisherman, UK fan and a skilled tradesman.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bertrand Cecil; his paternal grandparents, William Albert and Mabel Linton.
Survivors include his mother, Anna June Cecil Linton of Culvertown; his father James B. “Tommy” Linton of Culvertown; two sisters, Denise “Neicy” (Craig Newton) Culver of Bloomfield and Amanda (Craig) Boone of New Hope; one brother, James “Moogie” Linton of Bardstown; two half-brothers, Matthew Wayne Linton and Thomas James “T.J.” Linton, both of Elizabethtown; his maternal grandmother, Ann Elizabeth “Charlie” Hutchins Cecil of Balltown; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Culvertown with the Rev. Chris Lubecke officiating with cremation to follow. The graveside service is 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at St. Thomas Cemetery in Bardstown.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, and 8:30-10 a.m. Thursday, with a 5 p.m. Wednesday prayer service at the William R. Rust Funeral Home, 167 North Main St., New Haven, with the Rev. Chris Lubecke officiating.
