Obituary: Robert Boone ‘Bobby’ Gill, 79, Lyons Station

Robert Boone “Bobby” Gill, 79, of Lyons Station, died peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville with his family by his side. He was a member of the Baptist faith. He was born Dec. 9, 1937, the son of the late Robert Cline and Alberta Brown Gill. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He funeral_candlewas an employee of Bird Vinyl in Bardstown with many years of service.

He was preceded in death by one son, Robert David “Davey” Gill; one sister, Rita Stillwell; and one granddaughter, Kimberly Nicole “Nikki” Gill.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Ann Mitchell Gill of Lyons Station; three daughters, Theresa “Sissy” Gill Thomas of Lyons Station, Melinda Rock and Kimberly “Kim” (Craig) Warnhuis, both of Hodgenville; two stepdaughters, Carol (Danny) Ferguson of Lyons Station and Laura (Scott) Smith of Bardstown; three sons, Victor Allen Gill of Lyon Station, Robert Butler (Gill) of Glendale, Robert Hoback of Hodgenville; one stepson, Brian Calvert of Bardstown; two sisters, Lydia Taylor of Anderson, Ind. and Frances “Suzie” Seward of Hodgenville; one brother, William Mason “Bill” Gill of Lyons Station; nine grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-granddaughter; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen and there will be no visitation or burial services.

The William R. Rust Funeral Home, 167 N. Main St., New Haven, is in charge of arrangements.
