Obituary: Daulton Glenn Turpin, 23, Campbellsville

Daulton Glenn Turpin, 23, of Campbellsville, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, in Lexington. He was born in Taylor County, Feb. 21, 1994, to Rodney Glenn and Lisa C. Turpin. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethel First Presbyterian Church. He was a graduate of Taylor County High School and turpincontinued his education at Western Kentucky University and Georgetown College. As a natural athlete, he was a free spirit and a warrior for hire, and loved to hunt and fish.

He was also preceded in death by his grandfather, Morton Taylor Judy, and his stepgrandfather, Kevin “Poppy” Sibley.

Survivors include his parents, Rodney and Lisa Turpin of Campbellsville; one brother, Lance Taylor Turpin of Lexington; his grandparents, Karen Sue King-Sibley of Hustonville, Glen H. Turpin of Waynesburg, and Sue Black Turpin of Lincolnton, N.C.; his great-grandparents, Margie Black of Lincolnton, N.C. and Arnold Wicher of Hustonville; two special uncles, Brian Turpin of Campbellsville, and Jack Judy of Hustonville; and a host of other family and friends.

The memorial service is 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, in the old Taylor County High School gymnasium, 300 Ingram Ave, Campbellsville, with Bro. Jim Murphy and Bro. Haywood Riner officiating.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Monday at the gymnasium, and will resume after the memorial service.

The family requests memorial donations take the form of donations to your local Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous chapter.

The L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville is in charge of arrangements.
