The Northeast Nelson Fire Protection District announces that there is an opening on the Board of Trustees and requests any interested person to contact it at: Telephone 502-252-5301 or email at northeastnelson@nenfd.org or mail to PO Box 333, Bloomfield, Ky. 40008 or walk-in during normal business hours.

The Northeast Nelson Fire Protection District provides fire protection, fire prevention, and many other fire and rescue services to the Northeast Nelson County community. The Fire District is completely supported by funds from the property owners of the community.

The Board of Trustees is responsible to conduct the affairs of the Fire District, appoints the Chief and all firefighters, and consists of seven (7) members, two (2) are District Property Owners, two (2) are Firefighters/District Members, and three (3) are appointed by the Nelson County Judge Executive.

The open position is for:

— Property Owner Trustee who lives in the Fire Protection District.
— Appointed Trustee who lives within Northeast Nelson County, Kentucky.
