Obituary: Fay Mattingly, 63, Lawrenceburg
Fay Mattingly, 63, of Lawrenceburg, died Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. She was born Jan. 10, 1954, in Lawrenceburg, and was employed by Bloomfield Day Care.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Mable Barnes; one sister, Juanita Barnett; and one brother, James Earl Barnes.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, James F. Mattingly of Lawrenceburg;
one daughter, Rebecca Greer Lewis of Bardstown; two sons, Jimmy (Layne) Greer of Bloomfield and Jason (Nickie) Greer of Lawrenceburg; two sisters, Betty Sue (Winfred) Hagerman of Chaplin and Debra Brown of Salvisa; two brothers, Donnie Barnes of Lawrenceburg and Burnice (Jean) Barnes of Mount Eden; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Barlow Funeral Home in Bardstown with the Rev. Windfred Hagerman officiating. Burial is in Highview Cemetery in Chaplin.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017 and 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
