One injured after being struck by car Sunday evening on Bloomfield Road

Monday, March 6, 2017, 3 p.m. — One person was injured Sunday evening after being struck by a car near the Circle K food mart on Bloomfield Road. A total of five vehicles were involved in the accident. Nelson County EMS and the Bardstown Fire Department were dispatched to the area at about 8:44 p.m. Sunday. Nelson County EMS treated the victim, a man in his 40s, at the scene and he was transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment. Several other people involved in the accident refused treatment and transport by EMS.
