Obituary: LaToya Catherine Norris, 32, Holy Cross

LaToya Catherine Norris, 32, of Holy Cross, died Sunday, March 5, 2017, as a result of an auto accident in Washington County. She was born Sept. 24, 1984, in Marion County. She worked as a caregiver and was a devoted mother.

She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Mary Lynnette Norris; her grandparents, Kenneth and Evelyn Hutchins and Lee Norris.

Survivors include her mother, Cathy Hutchins Willett (R.D.) of New Hope; her father, Louis Norris of Holy Cross; three sons, Dalton Smith, Lucas Benham and Briar Chesser; her grandmother, Estelle Norris of Holy Cross; her fiance’ Michael Chesser of Springfield; three sisters, Tina Blanford (Travis Boblitt) of Springfield, Janice Chesser (Rusty) of Lebanon and Whitney Jennette of Bardstown; four brothers, Jimmy Norris, Jordon Norris (Jocelyn) and Travis Jennette, all of Holy Cross and Carlos Willett (Amy Stanley) of Balltown.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2017, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6785 Highway 52, Loretto with burial in the church cemetery with the Rev. Joseph Hayden officiating, assisted by Deacon Donald Coulter.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2017, and 1-8 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, with a prayer service 7 p.m. Thursday with Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may go to the family memorial fund and may be made at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Travis Boblitt, Rusty Chesser, Blake Blanford, Landon Chesser, Danny Joe Hutchins and Jordan Norris.

Honorary Pallbearers are Trevor Boblitt, Andrinna Boblitt, Cayden Chesser, Ashton Chesser, Peyton Chesser, Aiden Chesser, Jaxon Chesser, Carter Norris, Dalton Smith, Lucas Benham and Briar Chesser.

Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
