Obituary: Charles L. ‘Buddy’ Dickerson, 73, Bardstown
Charles L. “Buddy” Dickerson, 73, of Bardstown, died Sunday, March 12, 2017, at his home. He was born July 25, 1943, in Bardstown. He was a retired school teacher for St. Joseph Parish, Bethlehem High School, and Bardstown City Schools. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam, where he received a Purple 
Heart. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Aleene Dickerson; and one sister, Sharon Dickerson.
He is survived by five sisters, Mary Duncan, Patsy Collins, Joan White and Helen (Gary) Lewis, all of Bardstown, and Judy Storey of Vine Grove; three brothers, James C. “Connie” (Ann Marie) Dickerson, Damian (Donna) Dickerson of Taylorsville, and Earl (Anita) Dickerson of Bloomfield; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Barlow Funeral Home, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery with the Rev. Jason Harris officiating.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2017 and 9-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may go to St. Vincent Depaul Mission.
