JOHN D. FOGLE JR.

John D. Fogle Jr., 90, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at Signature of Colonial Health and Wellness Center. He was born Dec. 6, 1926, in Bardstown. He was retired from the United States Postal Service. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post # 121, the Knights of Columbus, and St. Joseph Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Fogle; two daughters, Laura Jean Fogle and Margaret Rose Fogle; one son, David Michael Fogle; one great-granddaughter, Kimberly Anne Taylor; and his parents, John and Grace Fogle.

He is survived by six daughters, Denise (Gayle) Woodruff of Buffalo, N.Y., Susan (Mike) Westhoff of St. Louis, Mo., and Sherry Fogle, Pat (Jim) Florence, Katie (Pat) Clark and Stacey (Keith) Miles, all of Bardstown; two sons, John (Juanita) Fogle III, of Bardstown and Robert (Jan) Fogle of Lexington; 18 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with burial in the church cemetery with the Rev. Terry Bradshaw officiating.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2017, and 8-9:15 a.m. Saturday at Barlow Funeral Home with a prayer service Friday evening.

Memorial contributions may go to St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
