Thursday, March 23, 2017 — The Stephen Foster Drama Association unveiled its 2017 “Live at the Park” concert series at its annual lunch meeting Thursday at the Old Kentucky Home Country Club.

The concert series will feature acts representing a wide variety of music styles, from 1970s rock ‘n’ roll to new country, Johnny Warren, the drama association’s managing artistic director, explained.

“We work every year to bring an exciting lineup of both familiar and new music to the amphitheater,” he said.

Notable too is the fact “The Stephen Foster Story” will play its 59th season this summer. Known locally as simply “the drama,” it will be joined by Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” — a show that’s already attracted a lot of calls for tickets.

Warren said by all appearances, the 2017 season will be a strong one for sales. He suggested that visitors who would like their choice of seating for a particular performance buy tickets well in advance.
