Obituary: Elizabeth Doris ‘Libby’ Votaw, 75, Lebanon

Elizabeth Doris “Libby” Votaw, 75, of Lebanon, died Friday, March 24, 2017, at Spring View Hospital. She was born May 11, 1941, in Loretto. She was a former employee of Angel Manufacturing and member of St. Charles Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Delores Clark Downs; two sisters, Ludie Mann and Earlene Mattingly; three brothers, J. W. Downs, Romanus Downs and Bill Downs; and one granddaughter, Stacy Jo Lawson.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Charles Votaw; four daughters, Ramona Lawson (Troy) of Loretto, Shelby Price (Terry) of Lebanon, Renee Nalley (Richie) and Meredith Lasure (Chris), both of Bardstown; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2017, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with Deacon Arnold Downs officiating. Burial is in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2017, at the Mattingly Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Justin Price, DeWayne Curtsinger, Richard Nalley, Logan Livers, Richie Nalley, Chris Lasure, Terry Price and Tom Farris; honorary pallbearers are Sam Lasure, Lauren Yaste, Terri Ann Farris, Rachel Price, Jamie Lawson and Troy Lawson.

The Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of arrangements.
