Obituary: Phillip Hagan Hite, 69, Bardstown
Phillip Hagan Hite, 69, of Bardstown, died Monday, March 27, 2017, at his residence. He was born Aug. 13, 1947, in Bardstown to the late Fitzie and Alice Faye Mattingly Hite. He was an employee of Harrod Transport where he was the fleet manager. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast who loved hunting. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam Era and a member of the Catholic faith.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Donna Strange.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Newton Hite; two daughters, Sonya (Richard) Davis of Louisville, Kacie (Chris) Albanese of Mount Washington; four sons, Chad Hite and Phillip H. Hite II, both of Louisville, and Ike (Jessie) Russell and Rob (Jessica) Russell, both of Bardstown; four sisters, Patti Garcia, Stephanie (Vince) Rosenblatt and Beth Hite, all of Louisville, and Joanni (Drew) Kozakevich of Arizona; one brother, Dan (Saralynn) Hite of Grayson; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2017, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with Deacon Sam Filiatreau officiating. Burial is in the Lebanon National Cemetery.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017, and after 9 a.m. Friday at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road, Bardstown.
