Obituary: John Lee ‘Johnny Coleman’ Mattingly, 62, Raywick
John Lee “Johnny Coleman” Mattingly, 62, of Raywick, died Monday, April 3, 2017, at Bardstown Health and Rehab. He was born Sept. 22, 1954, in Marion County. He was a retired employee of Independent Stave Co. in Lebanon and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam era.
He was preceded in death by one son, Allan Mattingly; his parents, Coleman and Gertrude Mattingly; his second wife, Robyn Lampkin; one sister, Mary Agnes Helm; and one brother-in-law, John Blandford.
Survivors include his wife, Joy Ditto Mattingly; one stepson, Jeremy Masden of New Haven; five sisters, Joyce Ann Medley (Billy) of Elizabethtown, Patsy Lyon (Bobby) of Loretto, Judy Blandford and Martha Hardesty (Dennis), both of Bardstown and Carol Kincer (Gary) of London; two brothers, Billy Coleman Mattingly (Shirley) of Louisville and Pat Mattingly of Tennessee; several nieces and nephews; and his dog Maggie.
Cremation was chosen. A memorial service is set for 12:30 p.m Saturday, April 8, 2017, at the Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with Deacon Joseph R. Dant presiding.
Committal services will follow in St. Charles Cemetery where Military Rites will be performed by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation is 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
The Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of arrangements.
