Obituary: James Mack Richardson, 84, Bardstown

James Mack Richardson,84, of Bardstown, died Thursday, April 6, 2017. at Kindred Hospital in Louisville. He was born April 21, 1932, in Bloomfield to the late Charles B. and Margie Ann Girdley Richardson. He was a retired Command Sergeant Major in the U.S. Army serving two tours in Vietnam. He was a member of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Charles B. Richardson.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Kathryn Summitt Richardson of Elizabethtown; two daughters, Susan Howard of Vine Grove and Wanda Livers of Bardstown; one son, David Scott Richardson of Elizabethtown; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family has honored his wishes for cremation with no services or visitation with burial at a later date.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
