Obituary: Raymond Rhoades, 79, Bardstown

Raymond Rhoades, 79, of Bardstown, died Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was born March 7, 1938, in Deatsville. He was retired from Ford Motor Company and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a member of The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ollie Karr Rhoades; and two sisters, Irene and Laverne.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy Bodine Rhoades; two daughters, Marsha (Rick) Logsdon and Mitzi Stice, both of Bardstown; two brothers, Chester (Faye) Rhodes of Mount Eden and Eugene (Tomoe) Rhoades of Lebanon Junction; four grandchildren, Matthew Stice, Meredith Stice, Evan Logsdon, and Jason Logsdon; two great-grandchildren, Audrey, and Braelynn; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery with Bro. Gerald Hegwood officiating.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2017, at Barlow Funeral Home, and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday April 18, 2017, at the church.

Memorial contributions may go to The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
