Obituary: Joseph Harold Cundiff Sr., 69, Holy Cross
Joseph Harold Cundiff Sr., 69, of Holy Cross, died Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was born Dec. 21, 1947, in Nelson County. He was retired mechanic with Heaven Hill Distillery in Bardstown.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Diane Donahue Cundiff; his parents, Miles Lee and Stella Mae Vittitow Cundiff; and one brother, Thomas Wayne Cundiff.
Survivors include one daughter, Christy Case (Timmy) of Bloomfield; three sons, Joe Cundiff (Frances) and Jason Cundiff (Ashley), both of New Hope and David Cundiff (Barbie) of Bardstown; five sisters, Catherine McCullum (Emery) of Elizabethtown, Shirley Norris of Holy Cross, Louise Simpson of Bardstown, Martha Mattingly of Greenbriar and Libby Pendygraft (Larry) of Holy Cross; three brothers, Junior Cundiff of Bloomfield, Darold Cundiff (Mary Jane) of Bardstown and Donnie Cundiff (Cordia) of Radcliff; eight grandchildren, Ashley Miles (Kevin), Bradley Cundiff, Brittany Cundiff, Taylor Case, Jacob Cundiff, Brandon Case, Lane Cundiff and Adysen Cundiff; and one great-granddaughter, Kimberly Miles.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 1 p.m. Monday,, April 17, 2017, ,at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 59 New Haven Road, Loretto, with burial in the church cemetery with the Rev. Bryan T. Lamberson officiating.
Visitation is 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto.
Pallbearers are Ashley Cundiff, Joe Cundiff, David Cundiff, Jason Cundiff, Timmy Case and Jacob Cundiff.
Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
