Obituary: Crystal Lynn Holt, 40, New Haven

Crystal Lynn Holt, 40, of New Haven, died Friday, April 14, 2017, in New Hope. She was employed at Juantino’s Mexican Restaurant. She was a member of St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven. She was born Feb. 6, 1977. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Lester “Chigger” and Cecilia Greenwell Carter; her maternal stepgrandfather, Bernard “Goo Goo” Ayers; and her paternal grandfather, Bobby Holt.

She is survived by two daughters, Trinity Holt and Gracie Holt, both of Bardstown; one son, Brandon Lucas of Manton; her mother and stepfather, Debra “Debbie” and Wayne Ayers of New Haven; her father, Michael “Mike” Holt of Bardstown; one sister, Danielle Thompson of New Haven; one brother, Mike Holt of Bardstown; one half-sister, Marissa Holt of Bardstown; her maternal grandmother, Joan Greenwell Ayers of New Haven; her paternal grandmother, Jewell Holt of Bardstown; a special friend, Mark Maupin of Bardstown; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2017, at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven with the Rev. Chris Lubecke officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery at a later date.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2017, and 8:30-10 a.m. Wednesday at the William R. Rust Funeral Home, 167 North Main St. in New Haven, with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Chris Lubecke officiating.

The William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven is in charge of arrangements.
