Obituary: Joseph Clarence Yates, 73, Springfield

Joseph Clarence Yates, 73, of Jimtown Rd., Springfield, died at 7:05 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017, at his residence.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy Coslow Yates; two daughters, Angela Lay of Willisburg and Tonya Clarkson of Lebanon; two sons, Joe Yates Jr. and Tim Yates, both of Springfield; two sisters, Frances Powell of Springfield and Katie Haydon of Mooresville; one brother, Charlie Yates of Springfield; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at St. Dominic Catholic Church with burial in St. Rose Cemetery.

Visitation is 4:30-8 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2017 and 7-10:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home in Springfield with a 7 p.m. Monday prayer service.

The Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of arrangements.
