Obituary: Levy Preston Crume, 92, Bardstown

Levy Preston Crume, 92, of Bardstown, died Saturday, April 15, 2017, at his residence. He was born Nov. 3, 1924, in Bardstown to the late Velma and Marie Irvine Crume. He was a retired employee of the Bardstown Sewing Factory and a member of St. John A.M.E. Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Crume.

He is survived by two sons, Jimmy Crume and Gary (Sharon Reed) Crume, both of Bardstown; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road with Bro. Roscoe Linton officiating. Burial is in the Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2017 at the funeral home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
