Obituary: Frank George Lauyans Sr., 82, Bardstown

Frank George Lauyans Sr., 82, of Bardstown returned to his Heavenly Father Wednesday, April 12, 2017. He was born Feb. 22, 1935 in Louisville. He retired from General Electric and Appliance Park as a facilities engineer after 32 years of service. He was a member of Saint Thomas Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Theodore Lauyans and Aileen Ansert Delashmit.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 64 years, Mary Anne Lauyans; three daughters, Patricia Lauyans, Judy Berry (Les) and Ronda Peck (Mark); two sons, Frank Lauyans Jr. (Loretta) and Larry Lauyans; one sister, Darlene Keaveney; 10 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

The funeral was Friday, April 14, 2017 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home with burial in St. Michael Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Diabetes Association and the American Heart Association.

The Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
