Obituary: Eddie Earl Skaggs, 64, Lebanon

Eddie Earl Skaggs, 64, of Lebanon, died Monday, April 24, 2017, at his residence. He was born Feb. 16, 1953, in Lebanon. He was a driver for On Time Carrier and best known for his past sound system business.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William “Bill” and Elizabeth “Lib” Stumph Skaggs; and one brother, Jackie E. Skaggs.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Bohannon Skaggs of Lebanon; one daughter, Natalie Elizabeth Skaggs Browning of Lebanon; one son, William Shannon Skaggs Jr. (Chelsea) of Lebanon; one sister, Peggie Skaggs Gardner (Dennis), of Cadiz; and five grandchildren Anthony Skaggs, Patrick Skaggs, Kaylee Skaggs, Jackson Skaggs, and Brittany Browning.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017, at the First Christian Disciples of Christ Church, officiated by Rev. Anthony Gilbert, Burial is in the Old Liberty Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8:30 p.m. Friday at the Bosley Funeral Home, and 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

The Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of arrangements.
