Obituary: Wendell Owen Goff, 59, Bardstown

WENDELL OWEN GOFF

Wendell Owen Goff, 59, of Bardstown, died Friday, April 28, 2017, at Hosparus of Norton Healthcare Pavilion in Louisville. He was born March 10, 1958, in Louisville. He was a maintenance technician for Heaven Hill Distillery. He was a 1976 graduate of Bardstown High School and a veteran of the Army National Guard. He was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and riding on ATV trails.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie Goff.

He is survived by his son, Jesse Owen (Nikki House) Goff; his mother, Helen Goff of Bardstown; two sisters, Debbie (Danny) Shewmaker, and Cheryl (David) McMaster, both of Bardstown; one grandson, Owen Goff; four nieces; one nephew; and a special friend, Faye Tharp all of Bardstown.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at the Barlow Funeral Home, with burial in Mill Creek Baptist Cemetery with Pastor Rodney Lynch officiating.

Visitation is 2-7 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2017 and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may go to Mill Creek Baptist Cemetery Fund or the American Cancer Society.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
