Wednesday, May 4, 2017 — The 57th annual Kiwanis Radio Auction is 1-6 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2017, and will be broadcast live on WBRT 1320 AM and 971. FM.
Thousands of dollars in new merchandise and services will be auctioned off to the highest bidder, by telephone or by in-person bids at auction headquarters, the showrooms of Conway-Heaton on North Third St. in Bardstown.
Major items are those with a value over $100 and have . These items will be introduced at the beginning of the auction, and bids will be accepted during the afternoon. The regular items will be auctioned off during the afternoon! Bidders may come to the Conway-Heaton showrooms to see the item before bidding.
The proceeds of the auction fund the local Kiwanis Club’s activities, including the E.E. Hubbard $500 scholarships given to the most deserving Key Club member at local high schools. Kiwanis also sponsor 4-H campers, provide funding to local family resource centers and other activities.
The auction this year is a little later than usual and we want to let everyone know what is going on so they can be ready to bid and buy the items that will be presented.
