Obituary: Victor Price, 75, Bardstown

Victor Price, 75, of Bardstown, died Thursday, May 4, 2017, at his residence. He was born Aug. 11, 1941, in New Hope to the late William Benjamin Miller Jr. and Isabelle Braden Price. He was a retired mechanic. His hobby was coaching at the Bardstown Recreation Department. He coached there here many years and enjoyed working with the youth.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine Dotson and Ethel Thompson; and four brothers, Daniel Price, Chester Price, Dennis Price, and Shirley Price.

Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Linda Kappell Price; two daughters, Dorothy Rose “Dottie” (Tom) Pike of Cox’s Creek and Melissa Ellen (Sandy) Crepps of Samuels; two sons, Jeffrey Victor (Raeleen) Price and Kevin Brent Price, both  of Cox’s Creek; two sisters, Ida Catherine Melton and Eunice Rafferty, both of Louisville; 14 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2017, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road with Bro. Dennis King officiating. Burial is in the Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday, May 7, 2017, and after 8:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
