Obituary: Jason Wimsatt, 28, Bardstown

Jason Wimsatt, 28, of Bardstown, died Friday, May 5, 2017, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He was born April 4, 1989, in Louisville. He was a sales manager for Cars and Truck Magazine, a member of Nelson Christian Church and he had a passion for helping people, music, a contagious laugh, and his bear hugs.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Carole D. Wimsatt; and his paternal grandparents, Arthur and Gladys Wimsatt.

He is survived by his father and step-mother, Mike (Debbie) Wimsatt of Bardstown; two brothers, Christopher “Chris” Wimsatt and Dylan (Alyssa LeFair) Wimsatt, all of Bardstown; two stepbrothers, Jeremy Reinle of Riley, N.C. and Corey Reinle of Louisville; his maternal grandmother, Barbara D. (Jim) Young of Bardstown; and his maternal grandfather, Eugene P. Drake of Bardstown.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in Big Springs Cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2017, and 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may go to Drug Rehab Treatment Centers.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
