Obituary: Shirley Warner, 78, Bloomfield

Shirley Warner, 78, of Bloomfield, died Sunday, May 7, 2017, at the Heritage Hall Care Center in Lawrenceburg. She was the former Shirley Morrow, born October 27, 1938, in Bardstown to the late Wallace and Edna Lee Nutgrass Morrow. She was a retired employee of Snider Drugs in Bloomfield for 42 years. She was a CNA at Windsor Gardens and a private duty caregiver for two and a half years. She was a hospice volunteer, and a member of the Bloomfield Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Warner; and three brothers.

She is survived by one daughter, Carrie (Roger) Rogers of Lawrenceburg; one son, Earl Warner of Sandy Hook; and two grandchildren, Erin Rogers and Allie Rogers.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Leland Parks officiating. Burial is in the Highview Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at the funeral home.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Tyler M. Foster Scholarship in care of the Nelson County Community Foundation Attn: Dorothy White, 288 Wildcat Lane Bardstown, KY 40004 with the Tyler M. Foster Scholarship included in the memo line, or to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 663 Teton Trail, Frankfort, KY 40601.

The Houghlin Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
