Bardstown City Pool set to open Saturday, June 3

Wednesday, May 10, 2017 — For those who will be seeking some recreational relief from the summer heat this year, the Bardstown City Pool will open on Saturday, June 3.

The regular pool hours are Tuesday – Sunday, 1-5:30 p.m., with $5 admission. Family Swim time is 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday evenings with $3 admission. Children 2 years old and under are free, and adults 55 years old and older are free.

WATEROBICS. Waterobics Classes will be offered June 6 – Aug. 10 every Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to noon or 5:45 to 645 p.m. The cost of the entire 10-week session is $140; drop-in cost is $10 per class. Waterobics sign-ups will be taken until June 2.

SWIM LESSONS. Swimming lessons are also available for ages 3 to adult who wish to learn to swim or become better swimmers. The cost is $50 per participant. Swim lessons are set for June 13-23, June 27-July 7 and July 11-21. Sessions will be held during the following dates: June 13 – June 23, June 27- July 7, and July 11 – July 21. Class times will be Tuesday through Friday in the mornings and in the evenings.

OTHER ACTIVITIES. The Bardstown Barracuda Swim Team is now taking registrations. The cost is $75 and can be turned in to the Recreation Department by June 2. The parent meeting will be held at the pavilion by the pool at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June.

Pool rentals are also available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings.
