Obituary: Rebecca Rodenbaugh SCN, 100

Rebecca Rodenbaugh SCN, 100, a native of Tutwiler, Miss., died Monday, May 15, 2017, at Nazareth Home in Louisville. She had been a professed Sister of Charity of Nazareth for 79 years.

She served as a grade school teacher in Memphis, and in Louisville at St. Cecilia and Sacred Heart School. She taught home economics at high schools in Arkansas, Massachusetts, Ohio, Tennessee, and at Presentation Academy in Louisville. From 1986-1998, she served in social services as director of the Christian Center in Lebanon, Va.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews, and by her religious community.

The Funeral Mass is 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at St. Vincent Church, Nazareth, followed by the burial of ashes in Nazareth Cemetery.

Visitation is 10-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent Church at Nazareth.

The Ratterman Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road, Louisville, is in charge of arrangements.
