Obituary: Margaret Lynch Jameson, 91, Bardstown
Margaret Lynch Jameson, 91, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. She was born Oct. 5, 1925, in Mobile, Alabama but became a proud transplant to Bardstown. After an exciting stint as a flight attendant and obtaining her solo pilot’s license she happily changed course and raised eight children for more than 30 years. Deciding not to interfere with perfection, she moved on to her next phase as a secretary at St. Joseph Church where she was a lifelong parishioner. She loved the beach, bridge, crossword puzzles and reading. Her volunteer services included many activities for St. Joseph Parish and Flaget Hospital. She leaves behind a large loving family including children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins in the Dominick and Mergel extended families and many friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, John S. Jameson; one daughter, Erin “Peggy” Bryant; one son, Steve Jameson; one sister, Marian Dominick; one brother, Buddy Lynch; and one grandson, John Lynch Jameson.
She is survived by six children, Mike (Anne) Jameson of Bardstown, Dennis (Joellen) Jameson of Dallas, Tim (LouAnne) Jameson of Melbourne, Fla., Beau (Laurie) Jameson of Jeffersonville, Ind., Jean York of Texas, and Marian (Tee) Hayden of Frankfort; 14 grandchildren, David Jameson, Elizabeth Jameson, Jennifer Williamson, Sarah Webb, Michael Jameson, Crystal Culver, Barry Jameson, Meg Jameson, Emily Jameson, Amy Jameson, Hunter Bryant, Rachael Bryant, Trey Hayden, and Sydney Hayden; and 13 great-grandchildren, Zachary, Alyssa, Christopher and Nicholas Culver, Ella, Michael, and Hunter Jameson, Katherine, Campbell and Christian Williamson, Madeline Case, and Jameson and Ryves Webb.
