Obituary: Walton Lee ‘Wally’ Sparks, 55, Hodgenville
Walton Lee “Wally” Sparks, 55, of Hodgenville, died Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at his residence. He was a 911 Dispatcher for LaRue County. He was chief of the Hodgenville Fire Department and a member of the LaRue County Fire Department. He was a member of the Hodgenville Methodist Church, B. R. Young Lodge #132 F&AM in Hodgenville, and LaRue County Sportsmans Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W.L. and Wanda Stephens Sparks.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Wyatt Sparks; one sister, Dianna (Randy) Hart of Elizabethtown; one brother, Michael (Gary Barnhart) Sparks of Louisville; one niece, Hailey Kinstle; four nephews, Darian Rock, Daniel Rock, Matthew Hart and Rusty Kinstle; and six great-nieces and nephews, Caleb, Allie, Cannon and Case Rock and Mason and Grant Hart.
The funeral is 3 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2017, at the Hodgenville Civic Center, 200 South Lincoln Boulevard with burial in the Red Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is noon-8 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2017, and after 10 a.m. Monday at the Hodgenville Civic Center with a masonic service Sunday at 7 p.m.
The Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville is in charge of the arrangements.
