Dedication ceremony for World War II monument set for Thursday

Monday, May 22, 2017 — A ceremony to dedicate the new World War II monument that honors the soldiers from Nelson County who gave their lives fighting for our freedom is set for 11 a.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017, outside the Old Courthouse.

In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to the Nelson Fiscal Court meeting room.

The monument is located on the east side of the Old Courthouse. Everyone is invited to attend the ceremony.
