Video collage: Dedication of county’s new World War II monument @ Old Courthouse

Friday, May 26, 2017 – The Nelson Fiscal Court meeting room hosted the dedication ceremony Thursday, May 25, 2017, for the World War II monument located on the grounds of the Old Courthouse. The monument lists the names of the 79 Nelson Countians who died during World War II.  Judge Executive Dean Watts served as emcee; the list of the honored dead was read by Kim Huston, and the monument was blessed by the pastor of the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral, the Rev. Terry Bradshaw. Running time: About 19 minutes.
