Obituary: John Russell Hardin, 78, Springfield

John Russell Hardin, 78, of Springfield, died Thursday, June 15, 2017, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lexington.

He was the son of the late Theo and Veneta Hardin of Springfield.

He was survived by his wife, Anna Lee Hardin; two children, Glenn Hardin (Karen) of Lexington, and Steve Hardin (Lisa) of Indianapolis; three sisters; four brothers; and five grandchildren.

He was a former manager of the IGA in Springfield and was well-known in that community.

The funeral is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2017, at the Springfield Baptist Church.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2017, at the church.
