Obituary: Joseph Victor Mudd Sr., 93, Lebanon
Joseph Victor Mudd Sr., 93, of Lebanon, died Monday, June 19, 2017, at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon. He was born Oct. 25, 1923, in Lebanon. He was a former employee of Marker’s Mark Distillery Company, enjoyed farming, and was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Robert and Mary Helena Spalding Mudd Sr.; four sisters, Clarissa Kelly, Hazel Thompson, Helen Anne Mudd and Maggie Hayden; and two brothers, Joe Ellert Mudd and Charles R. Mudd Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Marie Bowling Mudd of Lebanon; two daughters, Mary Anne (Bob) O’Daniel and Nancy (Wendell) Luckett, both of Lebanon; nine sons, Victor Mudd Jr., John (Char) Mudd, Tommy Mudd and Mark Mudd, all of Lexington, Louis “Pat” (Donna) Mudd of Springfield, Tony Mudd of Louisville, Dennis Mudd of Nicholasville, Kenny Mudd of Versailles, and Richard (Glenda) Mudd of Biloxi, Miss.; four sisters, Dolores Thomson, Benita Riney and Sister Susan Mudd, all of Owensboro, and Dianne Simi of Lexington; two brothers, Joe Lawrence Mudd and Leonard Mudd of Bardstown; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2017, at St. Charles Catholic Church with the Rev. David Naylor officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Bosley Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p.m. with Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
The Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon is in charge of arrangements.
