One arrested on drug-related charges after Carey Court search warrant

Thursday, June 22, 2017, 10:30 a.m. — One person was arrested Thursday morning on drug-related charges following a search warrant served at a home at 109 Carey Court in Bardstown.
Police seized 22 grams of cocaine, 2.5 grams of marijuana, Schedule II narcotics and more than $14,000 in cash from the residence during the search.
Daniel Shane Janes, 29, was arrested and faces charges that include trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree (more than 4 grams cocaine); possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia. Janes had an outstanding arrest warrant for trafficking in marijuana (less than 8 ounces) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to a press release, additional suspects are expected to be charged as the investigation continues. Individuals with information are encouraged to called the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force at (270) 769-0694. All callers can remain anonymous.
The Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force was assisted by the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office and the Bardstown Police Department.
